Micro-Dermabrasion
Micro-dermabrasion is a non-surgical method of a mechanical exfoliation and rejuvenation, applied to the face, neck, décolletage, back, chest and shoulders.
A controlled flow of micro-crystals is applied under pressure over the skin's surface in order to gently break down the skin cells.
A vacuum effect then occurs, which removes dead skin cells.
The treatment also has a cellular regenerative effect, improving both cellular renewal and repair, in addition to the tone and elasticity of the skin.
Even a single micro-dermabrasion treatment will remove excess dead skin cells and sebum, making the skin appear brighter and healthier regardless of the skin type.
Micro-dermabrasion can also be used in combination with other treatments.
How does Micro-Dermabrasion work?
The micro-crystals are applied to the skin via the applicator probe where they mechanically remove cells from the skin's surface. The applicator probe stimulates the connective tissue of the skin which is responsible for the production of collagen and elastin fibres. Elastin is responsible for skin elasticity and collagen fibres give the skin its strength, therefore this treatment improves both the structure and the flexibility of the skin.
The vacuum suction feature stimulates both blood and lymphatic circulation locally.
